It is my first real rebellion against the abuse I suffered in my early life at the hands of who had the choice to protect me, but didn’t. When I sing DIRTY JOHN (you know who you are), I feel like I'm biting the devil back, every time. Something black + bitter in me dies, and something beautiful arises. FREEDOM."
