My name is Piero Perelli, I am a drummer, composer and sound explorer based in Tuscany, Italy.
In the last 15 years I’ve been touring and recording music around the world with artists such as Glen Hansard, Dana Fuchs, Paul Savoy A-ah, Vinicio Capossela, Rodrigo D’Erasmo, Luke Winslow King, Emma Morton.
I’ve been creating more and more music for images, movies and theatre projects.
This year the latest Sean Penn’s movie “Flag Day” came out and I had the honor and pleasure of being involved as a drummer and percussionist, recording along with Eddie Vedder, Glen Hansard, Cat Power and other incredible musicians.
I’m also the main sound of the movie “Sergio Leone - L’italiano che inventò l’America” premio di argento as best documentary of 2023 about the great director, with such a cast as Quentin Tarantino, Robert De Niro, Steven Spielberg Clint Eastwood.
With Don Antonio and The Graces I've just released our latest album "Colorama" which is part of the Netflix docuseries "Wanna"'s soundtrack (2022).
After many projects as a band member and freelance musicians, I decided to work on my first solo album “Notte”.
It is a collection of emotions inspired by the night, the moment when the world takes a breathe, nature takes its space back and humans bring out their deepest feelings.
The force of nature will always be superior to everything.
Like an ocean wave that overwhelms you and transports you at will.
Without the storm and rain life would cease to be, without realizing who you are, happiness cannot come to you.
